So the issue I am having is in reading reviews of the Blendtec, which I want, that some people are returning it for various reasons that appear to be in the category of “the occasional Lemon” or “user ignorance” I haven’t been using blenders for green smoothies that long and my Oster died today. It was 20 years old, but I started doing smoothies 2 weeks ago. I have to go buy something to limp me along until I can convince hubby to buy the more expensive one. All this to say, aside from the complaints that the Blendtec has more issues such as malfunction, doesn’t the 8 year warranty take all those issues into account? Isn’t it the better choice just because it is better overall? That’s why I want one, not because of the mechanical issues…just send it back and get another. If I repeatedly got a lemon then, yes, I would abandon that model!
